The much loved Straight Impression "Impi," his good-bye was eloquently written by Nick de Meric in the TDN.

Seeuat Stickinstine...

Following the running of the 2nd race, #2 SEEUAT STICKNSTEIN, trained by DOUG O’NEILL, collapsed and died after its rider, Apprentice Jockey JOHNNY GIHUA pulled it up and dismounted shortly after the wire. Track Veterinarian J. BAILEY reported the horse died from what appeared to be a heart attack and a necropsy will be performed to possibly answer that question. (... from CHRB).

Coolnaharan, 10 years old, during his 76th start.

The race, at Kelso, was called the Snowy's Farewell.

He fell to his death.

He had been brought down once, had fallen twice before and had been pulled up a few times including his last out.

His first race was on May 31st, 2003. 6 wins during that long career...

I'm sure he's missed.

Rest in peace.

Very sad... Sometimes ya just have to wonder what the owners were thinking by running him again and again like that. Poor fella

I know!

When I was writing this out I questioned it and then thought well I shouldn't judge and changed it to I'm sure he's missed cause I felt guilty.

I'm not an owner, I don't know what it's like but yeah I do agree.

If they seem healthy I think it's fine but man this poor horse... well at least he's not suffeing now, huh?
