Yes. It is ,as we speak, cicrling a large cloud formation about-----oh....say 3300 feet above. Those hillbillies will get there...sooner or later. |

![]() David Williams is interested in nothing but furthering the interests of David Williams. He has used his position as his party's leader in the Senate to block, torpedo, or bury many bills that his own party has wanted, simply because he didn't get what HE wanted out of them or because Democrats introduced them. And he actively panders to the rural, religious vote (post those 10 Commandments!) while taking part in one of the very activities they abhor (gambling!).
Richie Farmer is one of 'The Unforgettables' - the four scholarship players at UK who stayed and played after Sutton got them on probation. Sticking by the team when it was in trouble won him lots of admirers. There have been a lot of Farmers who have played basketball and a fair number who have gone into politics in Eastern Kentucky. I know nothing to his detriment, other than he agreed to be on the ticket with Williams. |

![]() there is no question that Farmer is the popular side of the equation, and doesn't have much negative press at this point. Although there was an article last week regarding his wasteful spending on new vehicles for his depatment. While it was clearly an attempt to plant a negative seed just before the announcement, it also should not be taken lightly...if he isnt willing to cut costs within his own department in a very bad economy, what are his plans for the whole state when he's second in command?
