Zenyatta:

Grade 1 wins in the Santa Margarita, Apple Blossom & Vanity.

Proviso:

Grade 1 wins in the Kilroe (against males), Just a Game, and Diana.



I'd vote for Proviso at this point.

Anytime you lose a Grade 1 to Gabby's Golden Gal - like Provisio did (albeit on synthetic) - you're automatically dq'd from any shot at Horse of the Year discussion.

At risk of sounding anti-Zenyatta, when dealing with her 2010 races, I don't think she has run against the dynamics of any of her races. Whether the same can be said about Proviso is a different issue.

I doubt too many horses run down St. Trinians -- certainly Proviso doesn't. But that's fine, as you're probably correct for 2010. Zenyatta has something like 12 WIPEOUTS in 17 races. All but 2 of which are on POLY -- which is no where near as conducive to wipeouts as dirt is (especially wet dirt). Proviso has yet to run her first.

I am so sick of hearing this ****. She puts herself in any spot to pull a good trip, its called being tactical. Just like QR will likely NEVER HAVE A BAD TRIP. She comes from 8th vs G1 males wins, she puts herself in the race going 8f in a G1 she wins, she stalks makes FIRST MOVE and wins going 9f in a G1.
Anyway what the hell does her trips have to do with who has done more? She has won 3 G1's at 3 different tracks and beat the boys. Like I said, so far she has done MORE.

Of course, we're comparing a turf horse vs. a horse that has mainly run on synthetic tracks.. that would be like comparing a dirt horse to a sythnetic one..

Your question was clear, so far who has done/accomplished more. I dont even think its really a question, and IM A HUGE ZENYATTA FAN.

Proviso is a nice little horse but has had candy trips in her last three races.
