I should explain..."oh mine got" comes from Nanny.

Grandmother...from old country. One great lady...unyielding faith in God.

She really liked me and I really liked her.

Stand by...stories about this will come later.

Could you please tell me which story and what page it would be on.
I don't remember any stories, but that because I just try to ignore them.

Nanny was such a great lady. She lived above us. We always rented the downstairs from her as she always owned the places we lived in for several years.

She was about early 60's here...and every Saturday at about 4 was Live Wrestling!!---right here on hour stage!!

I would always go up and watch it with her. She had on an old country lady dress and slippers. Usually had a pear in her apron, sliced up into segmented portions. She really believed this wrestling was real. She would cry when Ilio Dippalo was getting vaporized

He always crossed himself before each match thus endearing him forever to Nanny.

In my mind I would think..Oh my God,Nanny. How can you fall for this stuff? And I was only like 4 !!

Oh well, she wasn't perfect.

She would yell at the Dick The Brute...hated him.

Fritz Von Erich---she couldn't even look at him! Really..she would cover her eyes when they got a close up of his muggy faces.

Those were really great Saturday afternoons in Nanny's little living room overlooking the street in Cleveland. She would also larn me things during these shows.

I never, before nor since, have known anyone so committed to God.She was Catholic.

I miss her.
