Not surprising how well the Discreet Cats or the Hard Spuns sold considering who they stand for. . . Forestrys have a history of big sale prices (oops) and Hard Spun is everybody's pick for a leader of this class since he's a son of Danzig. . . I guess I get the Jazil thing from a pedigree standpoint. . . The Scat Daddys were overpaid for.

I dont know that I would consider the Hard Spun prices particularly good. They weren't bad but 2 of the higher HS's went to Shiek Mo who always supports his stallions. Outside of his support it was pretty ordinary.

That's why I said "considering who they stand for". . . I know Ferguson bought them. . . Compared to how some of the others did I don't think the Hard Spuns sold too bad.

They didn't buy any discreet cats.

I know if I had bred to Hard Spun these prices would not be very encouraging considering how much hype was behind him. There will better bred ones in the coming sales which will be a better gauge.

The 2 yo in training pinhookers who were always traditionally big player at this sale didnt seem to be in the buying mood.

Doesn't Dubai own Fasig now and doesnt Sheik Mo own Dubai and doesnt Sheik Mo own the "interesting" first year stallions that went for good money? Is Fasig doing any interesting financing this year to help the sale?

From the lack of interest from those who would typically be getting the financing it appears not.
