With LeBron choosing to go to Miami, I feel he basically is keeping himself from being an absolute superstar. Miami will never NEVER be 'his' team, it is going to be Dwayne and LeBron's team.

When people talk about Chicago and their dynasties, the first person mentioned is Jordan 99 out of 100 times and the 1 oddity is some clown saying Air Canada (Bill Wennington) was his favorite player.

I agree with whoever is saying that he is basically resigning himself to the fact that he needs another star around him to win a title.

Jordan did have Pippen, but Pippen was not a top 5 player, he was top 15-20 (if I recall that far back)

Uh Scavs....What other player won a title by himself?

And I would like to know who were the 15 guys better than Pippen since he was elected to the top 50 NBA players of all time team?

I missed Scavs post. Missed the at the time part.

I'd still take the four you laughed at over Pippen, who was lucky he played with Jordan.

LOL

Well I never saw Cousy play but I'm guessing that a he may have benefited from playing with 9 hall of famers.

Drexler is better than Scottie pippen? 1-1st team all NBA, 2-2nd team and 2-3rd team
Pippen was all NBA 1st team 3 times and 2nd team 3 times and third team once plus 1st team all defensive team 8 times

Barkley was a good player, well at one end.

James Worthy wouldn't even be in the hoF without Magic Johnson. Never made all NBA 1st or 2nd team.

I didn't know making all NBA teams was the only criteria.

How many plays did Worthy or Drexler opt out of (in a playoff game) because they didn't get the play called for them?

Pippen was a great player on great teams. We'll agree to disagree about Worthy.

You'd have to include Isaiah in that list, no? Don't think there are many who would argue Pippen was a better NBA player than Thomas.

Bird's last Larry Bird season was 1988
Barkley was routinely savaged throughout his career as a me first gunner
Clyde Drexler was better than pippen? Ridiclous
Hakeem, Shaq, Robinson and Ewing are all centers and as such one of them was always the 4th best center in the league when Pippen was the best SF.
Reggie Miller? He is surely a better announcer. Even he wouldnt say he was better than Pippen.

Ask Jordan who he would have rather had as a running mate and outside of Hakeem or Shaq he is taking Pippen everytime. (Bird was a corpse in the 90's)
LOL

Clyde Drexler vs. Scottie Pippen is certainly debatable. I don't think there is anything "ridiculous" about that notion. Drexler's teams were consistently amongst the best in the league and he was their best player. Often, it was Jordan that Drexler was being compared to (now that might be ridiculous). From any standpoint besides "titles" which you already said was a poor measure, Drexler's career matches up very well with Pippen's.

Drexler was a great offensive player but Pippen was a better all around player.

I agree but its not a ridiculous notion to say that drexler was better. He was a better offensive player than pip and certainly a better shooter and scorer.

Barkley could be argued as better as well. Pip was great but you are acting like he was the other Jordan. He wasn't.

Now that Juwan Howard has signed on with the Heat, I can see at least four or five championships on the horizon. Good God, is that team a bunch of sacks after the big trio.
