Oh I know... the pace was solid, the race setup, St. Trinian puts the race away, and laid down in the final few strides, but none-the-less Zenyatta was beat at the 16th pole, but dug-in.

She ran as good as a juiced to the gills, grade 2 polytrack mare can. Kind of reminds me of Shifty Shiek almost beating Slew o Gold.

Hollywood Park and California are just creepy in general, guy screaming on the microphone like he's an emcee at a wedding, Shirreffs addressing the crowd, old creepy ladies carrying around signs. It like a different world over there

Let me add that if Zenyatta did that in the Stephen Foster then I would be singing her praises. It's a shame that the decision maker is a post-menopausal hot mess. No way that emasculated shell of a man is making the final call without her input.

Yes, but these are the Eastern Allstars of Denial ( a defense mechanism in which a person is faced with a fact that is too uncomfortable to accept and rejects it instead, insisting that it is not true despite what may be overwhelming evidence.)

St. Trinian looked like a $50,000 claimer deep stretch.

And comparing Zenyatta to Tiger Woods is borderline retarded. Tiger faces the best at least 5 times a year. How many times does Zenyatta? Once? And that can be argued.

A $50,000 claimer that was the post-time favorite in the Big 'Cap last out...

St. Trinians definitely tested her today. S.T. was running as good as her for most of the stretch. Took a great competitor to keep coming when S.T. didn't look like she was gunna get tired. Zenyatta is relentless.

I think Zenyatta would have won by 5 if Mike"God I gotta tour the grandstand before I cross the finish line" Smith had not gone so wide.Best race of the year so far!

Garcia purposely went wide to push Zenyatta even wider. St Trinians ran a monster race but unfortunately Zenyatta was an even bigger monster. If only the Lakers could have watched her race for inspiration.
