![]() Doubtful, Beavis. It's more as 'Zig says: let sleeping dogs lay. There's a can of worms there, but he won't be the one to wield the opener.

![]() This won't go away anytime soon. How is offering the Secretary of the Navy position in return for dropping from a race not a case of quid pro quo? The President makes the appointment so Obama has to be involved. The fact he went through Rahm who went thru Bubba makes it a conspiracy. This is also a simple case able to be understood by even American Idol, Maurey Povich fans that makes it a nice, neat package. As I said before the position isn't ambassador to New Guinea it's the freaking Secretary of the Navy!

![]() From what I read this morning, the navy sec position was never offered. But these stories tend to enter the mythical prettyu quickly, so that little bit of fiction will never go away completely. This story is being blown out of proportion. Of course the dem party will want to choose their noms, so they turned to party leadership to get sestak to serve in another capacity. Mountain being made out of a molehill.

![]() He wasn't offered a position other than an unpaid advisory one. Of course that's according to bauer. Nothing new here than anything either party has done in other cases

![]() 'How much greater the sin when someone else commits it'
Now, I saw that on a church sign-but it certainly fits with politics. The righties and lefties raise hell about their opponenets on every issue or scandal-regardless of how small the supposed oCcurence may be. But just as quick to defend their own, while mentioning a 'you did it too' moment. And we wonder why the system is broken. Insanity is described as doing the smae thing over and over and expecting a different result. Sounds like govt and politics to me!

![]() Let me ask you a question. If you had aspirations to be a US Senator (and had a pretty good chance to get elected) would an unpaid, advisory position have the least bit of interest to you? It is hardly a reach to say that this unpaid, advisory position story is the complete fabrication. While I understand that politics is a dirty business, remember this was the administration that was not going to play by the usual Washington rules. Yeah now we know that was a complete fabrication...

i agree completely with that. washington is still very much a 'scratch my back, i'll scratch yours' town-obama said that would change, it hasn't. claimed he'd have an ethical admin, that isn't true either. bauer compared these actions regarding sestak to past admins efforts-business as usual.

![]() if this was a molehill Obama would have answered the question of 'what job was offered' rather than say 'we'll have a report shortly'. He wanted his lapdog Specter in for personal gain. A true Dem allows the people to decide an election unimpeded. The 'we know best' attitude of the party come thru loud and clear. And Danz I agree with you should this turn out to be a minor job offered but it's still wrong in BOTH parties. IMO
