Not sure any on the list can exactly be called great--a subjective word--though some seemed destined for greatness, particularly Hoist The Flag .
Nice to see Inchcape remembered--ran three times only , won one stake , broke down twice, but was so impressive that he was thought to be the next Man O' War--a year his junior ... I would add Hilsdale, Dark Mirage, Hill Gail, Mongo, TV Lark, Silver Spoon , Cicada, Princess Rooney, Alsab and Billy Kelly to a group of forgotten goods or greats for a start ... Arts and Letters another ...
