After Uncle Don's win, the only way I can lose the 1K prize now is in the unlikely event that the other guy sweeps the late double and my one remaining horse misses the board.
I very rarely hedge ... but considering what's quoted above .. I'll play a $30 cold late double using my opponets two horses. Maybe I can get lucky and hit the double .. but still win the 1K prize if my horse in the 7th can clunk in 3rd behind his winner.
