The odd thing about Martin Garcia's numbers is how much he struggles on the turf.
He's just 1-for-42 in turf races this year. In turf routes over the last two years - he's 7-for-132 with an ROI of $0.50. He's in his 6th year of riding now - and only once has he ever won at a 10% or better clip in turf routes .. that was in 2006 when he went 19-for-160 with a very poor $1.48 ROI. For his entire career in turf routes he's 47-for-540 with a $1.15 ROI He's fine in all the other categories.
