im sure we (washington) probably have a call out to tomlinson by now. Portis should be the next RB to hit the free agent wire. Anyone of these guys (westbrook or tomlinson) would be a good fit in KC next year, maybe Seattle?

honestly any RB over that forbidden age of 30 anymore should only be signed as a back up.

B-West will probably get hurt again, LT also, and they are both a step slower than the younger guys.

It is weird how it really happens only at that position.. or can it be a linebacker thing too?

altho a step slower, they're still good. they both got cut because of their salaries. i wouldn't be surprised to see washington go after LT. portis already conceded last fall that he was no doubt done for in washington. not only did he suffer injuries, he wasn't exactly bright. when he opened his mouth, generally his foot went in there quicker than it went downfield.

they are both second stringers at this point in their careers.. funny how just two years ago they were two of the best, time is weird for RB's. but what they would be GREAT for is to teach the young guys, and get 5 carries a game in the redzone and maybe pick up some decent yardage on some screen passes.

I kinda hope B-West shops around and doesnt get a great offer and signs with the Eagles again for much less $$. We could use his experience still.. he was GREAT with McCoy this past year.

i read the average 'life expectancy' for rb's is four years. it's amazing tho how quickly they go from hero to zero-look at shaun alexander. from highest praise to boos in one year.

also tells you how bad the rushing corps is in dc if we think one of them, past their prime, would be a step in the right direction!

LT is done and everyone knows it but LT. Its not like Sproles is an every down back and its not like they couldnt have worked something out if he had something left. When I hear all of these reports of all the places that LT may go, it makes me laugh. Seriously...where is he going to go and be productive? What contender? Green Bay is the only place I could think of that makes a little bit of sense. Even so, when you rush for 3.3 ypc behind that line, you are officially done.

The Eagles and westbrook are a little bit different. He had 7.5 million due. Either way, they knew this was coming and thats why they drafted mccoy last year. Still, couldnt he be a nice third down back somewhere?
