yeah, germany should be a pushover...but then again, canada did go to a shootout the other day vs a pushover. this game matters, i don't agree with their decision at all. it could be a good game for brodeur to get some nice saves and build some confidence. now, they've just embarrassed him and probably pissed him off.

The Swiss played 2 really good games against Canada and USA. They are really improving and much better than the Germans

I liked bondra and langway both. Hatcher and those guys were fun to watch. I think Dino number would be retired w Minnesota, now Dallas? He deserves it retired somewhere.

I always liked Pete peters. Olie the goalie wa good for a short stretch and had that incredible playoff run

I read this morning that Babcock said the goalie change is for the rest of the Olympics (sorry no link ). He said if he had to make a change now in single elimination it would probably be to late.

Babcock will be watching the playoffs this year. He's really not a top tier coach at all. W/ detroits firepower there's noway those guys are outside looking in. Also noway you bench best goalie to ever live in favor of loungo. He's a good goalie but he's no broduer that's for damn sure

ok the technical explanation i heard.
MB is a stand up goalie. all the goals he's given up have been along the ice, because the defense is allowing to much traffic in front of him.
luongo is a butterfly goalie so he handles the low shots better and the traffic will bother him less.

now in my mind, it stands to reason opponents will start to shoot high?
it sounds to me like they need to play better defense and clear the traffic from the crease?
