Also, if you eliminate Church donations, that tilts things the other way a bit.
Even when it comes to people that make very little money and don't need deductions, it is the conservative christians that give the most.

If you've got two guys that each make $25,000 a year and one is a conservative christian and the other is a liberal, I make the conservative christain a 3-5 favorite to give more money to charity than the liberal. All the data shows that the conservative christians are the most generous when it comes to giving, regardless of income bracket.

Do you know who the least generous group is? The data shows that secular conservatives are the least generous group. And when you think about it, that makes sense.

If your definition of "charity" includes donating to your local pastor's child abuse defense fund, then I agree. But seriously, eliminate "Church" from your data and you think that is still true?

I think you are probably right about that. But why shouldn't a church donation count? If a guy makes $100,000 a year and he gives $2,500 to a church and an additional $2,500 to other charities, that is a total of $5,000. I think you should count the whole $5,000. Any way you look at it, the guy gave away $5,000.

It's the endgame that counts, which probably screws us both. To tell you the truth, I enjoy the Left-Right debate, but at some point..and perhaps the charity donation tally is the line in the sand...you can't make everything political.

Wanda Sykes featured this video on a segment of her show entitled "Todays Bad Moment in Black History." In her usual dry wit, she noted "at least he got his ass kicked on the front of the bus."

Holy sh*t...did I just admit to watching Wanda Sykes? Is this what my life has been reduced to?

Please delete my phone number from your cell phone.
Thanks in advance.
