Interesting that Comical, Winaholic and Lloyd all ran into pretty serious runners in their last race debuts. Tempted to Tapit, Eightyfiveinafifty and Rule by Night, respectively.

Lloydobler Chased a four-horse speed duel on the backstretch before rallying wide for second behind the favorite on an inside-biased track in his solid debut; the 8th horse from that dash subsequently won a maiden special at Laurel; son of classic winner Smarty Jones is out of a stakes-placed route winner who's thrown five route winners on the main track from seven starters; shouldn't mind the move to a mile.
