The USFL only lasted 4 years .... and no one who played in it would remotely contend.

If anything...maybe it helped Jerry Rice because some better NFL caliber defensive players were playing in it. Not that Rice needed much help as great as he was and with Walsh as his coach and Montana and Young as his QB's.

QB's td passes thrown don't count in the scoring TD category.

He still attracts the same kind of coverage he always has. Just wait until the safties start creeping up a little bit and not conceding so many easy completions to Welker and the tight ends. Hopefully that happens in the playoffs.

I think he meant Raymond Berry Bonds. Inducted into Hall of Fame in 1973 and only had 68 TD's. I could be wrong though.

Jim Brown was the man, and is still the man. The NFL has not produced one player that ranks with him. There's not many great things growing up in Cleveland, but seeing him play in person through much of his career was truely something special.

He was a one man wrecking ball, and if you're of defense, you're going to take a beating by him running into you.

the 49ers were perfecting the "west coast" offense. the usfl had the mouse davis-gamblers run-n-shoot and the the bandits-spurrier debuted the fun-n-gun. only the run-n-shoot crossed over the the nfl. all three offenses changed the nfl game forever. all the numbers now can't be compared to the teams before mid-to-late 80's

the LA Express and steve young were terrible that i remember. the only thing young got was beat up and a FAT bank account. add kelly's stats with the gamblers to his bills stats and were does that put him.
