Thanks for posting this MMSC.

After most of the year to think about it -- Dictina Too still bothers me to this day, and as callous as it sounds, there aren't many that bother me for any lengthy period of time.

Sometimes I wish they did. And then I get one like D. Too, and I'm glad they don't, because it's tough to love a horse you've never seen in the flesh, never touched, never anything, as much as that and have her break down and then wonder what it would be like to have one you've been personally involved with pass on.

I suppose before her, I watched my favorite horse get put down no more than seven feet from my face in Oregon, but now I'm going off on a tangent. And I hadn't loved one quite the same for a long time since that day.

Thanks for posting that -- it's important to remember, I think.

Blue Exit.....That one hurt. We raised our glasses and toasted him that night at the Arroyo Chop House.

it is very sad to see them all listed in one place.

maybe this isn't the place but this list made me think of it.
how does the total number on this list compare to years past?

This isn't an all conclusive list of 2008, but many:

and 2009

very somber thread indeed... Happy Ticket was one of my favorites and her loss still breaks my heart. I hope these horses realize the joy they bring to our lives. they are all missed.

RIP.
