Last summer and fall I heard and read, from the financial sector gurus, that in the next year or two unemployment rates would lag far behind, and recover far more slowly, than other indicators of this recession. "If" we could keep this recession from going into a depression. That even after other indicators started to slow and maybe even turn around, unemployment would continue to rise. Because that's the way it works. It's always worked that way. No surprise. And it would be worse, this time, regarding unemployment turning around, because this is the worse recession we've ever been in, in modern times, and it is going to take a long time to turn around.

Gee. That is exactly what is happening.

That was without the 800 billion dollar stimulus. The stimulus was supposed to make everything all better if only it was passed right away. It's Obama's mess now. We would be coming out of the recession now if nothing was done. Now we are 800 billion in the hole with no results that haven't been fabricated by the braintrust in D.C. The $$ hasn't even been all spent yet. Another lie?
