I don't understand why he's being retired. It's ridiculous.

In today's environment, it's tough to argue with a decision to retire at 4. He was a good enough horse, and he certainly met the look test for a stallion. Like a lot of you, I sure wish we had a few more looks at him on the turf.

i agree.

he hasn't done enough to warrant retirement. and if this is as good as he gets, why would they think he's a good prospect? especially considering the current breeding climate....too many mediocre horses rushing to the shed.

The problem is his owner's can market him with claims of top form on dirt, synthetics, and turf.

I suppose they don't want to do anything to tarnish that by running him at 5, even though he was lightly raced this year.
