Steve, what exactly did you like about the Alcibiades? Im asking because I just watched the DRF previews of each race, it was Crist and Watchmaker and they both seem to prefer the Oak Leaf over the Alcibiades.

Also what vulnerabilities do you see in Careless Jewel, I believe she is a huge talent and walks all over this field

Im not Steve, but... I think there is a bit more pace then she has faced... Music Note can/will run early... Think Balerina.... CJ is always rank, and this track plays against her type, especially at this trip. Also... she has beat no one... The worst horse in this race is better then anything CJ has ever beat... That says a lot IMO.

I believe she is a huge talent too, and was on board early delivering her like FedEx in the DelOaks. I agree she could get away easy and dust them like she did in the Cotillion, but she just doesn't look great here right now... Uncomfortable is probably the best description. Remember she jumped way forward synth to dirt. If she moves back to the performance range she was showing on synthetic, and/or if she isn't 100%, she could be beaten by a very sharp and versatile horse like Music Note. That's why I'm very uneasy about the race overall...

I'm obviously not there to see for myself but from photos, reading etc. it definitely makes me cautious to put her on any of my tickets especially at that price. Plus like you pointed out regarding the synth to dirt...

If she wins that is great really because she is top class, I'm just not choosing to use her.

Blind Luck and Always a Princess seem ragged.. like they've fired their best shots for now. Bickersons, who is an Eastern filly, looks progressive and eager to run. Everything the Breen-Hall team touches the last year plus has produced. It's almost weird. The Alcibiades quartet look good physically, are far better bred than the California Oak Leaf fillies and all appear faster and tougher. I like that the top Pocahontas fillies who collectively all finished behind the Alcibiades fillies came back to run well. I simply think the Alcibiades, which is always productive, had a particularly strong cast that perform well here tomorrow.

Considering how solid you've been lately I'm glad we're on the same page!

Default Great analogy Steve!

...like a room full of Tri-Delts after 3-4 frosties...."

Great coverage this week. Good luck the next 2 days.

Did you see Goldikova on the track this week, and if so, what did you think?

Thx Chalky... Has been great fun this week and has flown by. Today was a blur!

Goldikova looks OK. She galloped vigorously today, but for whatever reason, doesn't appear to have the imposing aura around her that you think she would. Zacinto is the 'now' horse it appears in the Mile.

G/L this weekend!

Steve,

Are they doing the dime supers this weekend?

Remember them scrapping them for the TC, can't remember if they do them for this weekend.

Thanks in advance, and thanks for all the info, updates and opinions. Hope you have a great BC, and cash plenty of tix.

Looks like the 6th and 7th tomorrow may be the key to the day for me, as I intend to bet P3's in the 5th by spreading about 6 horses into Midday and Ventura, and then in the 6th bet P3's off Midday and Ventura into a spread in the Ladies.

I will use Forever Together on some tickets, but live and die with Ventura.

And I'm riding shotgun with Steve as I think he will dust off the crystal ball in the nightcap!!!

Good luck everyone!

LK,

Thanks for the well wishes and kind words. Has again been a particularly fun week at this glorious facility, and I hope everyone will benefit from some of the info ATR offered up.

You can load up on the dime supers, and this of course is an ideal couple of days to play them. Try to use "all" in the bottom slot when you can.

Good luck!
