For comparsion's sake let's see Cigar's past p's during his streak. I'm sure it will illustrate he was on top of his game longer than than SA or FG.

I was close, I converted an adobe file of his past p's to a jpeg but it was too large to post here. Photobucket I never heard of until now, I got it, Thx.

Download IrfanView. A free image viewer editor. Resize the photo using the resample setting, and voila!

Smaller picture, smaller file, minimal loss of quality.

You should also use the .gif file format instead of jpg for things like drf pps.

That might be stretching it a bit... Ghostzapper hit/miss in terms of starts, but rarely did he not put forth a giant effort. But on dope alone, they're similar for sure.

You're severely under-estimating the quality of the field that Ghostzapper toyed with in the 2004 Classic. It was pretty good.

Im not under-estimating it... I never said anything about it. I will say the best horse Candy Ride ever beat was WAY BETTER then anything Ghostzapper beat.

You guys are nuts with the Candy Rides and Ghostzapper comparisons.
If Formal Gold and Skip Away were treated like glass figurines like them and given 3 months in between races, they would have run even better.

Ghostzapper did trounce Pleasantly Perfect. Now weather that was the same version that owned Medaglia d'Oro is a different debate.

I just never bought into the hype machine that raged after his Pacific Classic win. Don't get me wrong, he ran great but I think the fact that we saw so little of him has added to the esteem he's held in, especially by people on message boards.

I certainly won't debate that Candy Ride was brilliant. "Brilliant" and "better horse" are 2 different things IMO.

GZ was better IMO, though if we are looking at one race scenario's CR's Pacific Classic would rate with GZ's better performances.

Longevity, singular races, short spanning careers...To each is own to decide. If we are going by singular performances then why not Holy Bull's Woodward Stks win?
