There are diffrent types of hate.
For instance, I "hate" Tim Tebow, Barry Bonds, anybody who has ever played sports for KU, Brett Favre, Sarah Palin.....etc. But despite that "hatred," I still think those people deserve the same legal rights that I have. The majority of heterosexual people in this country, on the other hand, probably say that they don't "hate," homosexual people, and some may have homosexual friends, but they do want to prevent them from marrying a person of their choice. To me, that smacks of a very different kind of deep-seeded hate than what I feel for Tim Tebow.....and they are both different than the animosity between some people from Puerto Rico and some people from Mexico.
For me, the various forms of dislike/prejudice/hate make it ridiculous to say that group A hates group B "more" than group C hates group D.
Why does a straight heterosexual man have to "hate" homosexuals to be against gay marriage?
