A lot of folks aren't govt czars either. This isnt just a private citizen, he is a key advisor to the President and supposedly a main cog in the "green recovery".

for the record, i don't think 9/11 was planned, but if this guy does think it was planned under bush, maybe he'll "advise" obama not to let it happen under him.

He is far left (which I have no problem with) but you would be hard pressed to find two individuals farther to the right on the NeoCon agenda than the two individuals Bush picked to be his Vice President and first Secretary of Defense. Neither administration's decisions should be shocking. Every administration is bound to consist of a mixture of the elements that make up the party that won the election.
In my opinion, the Obama administration should be faulted for picking way too many moderate/conservative advisors. I mean....Ray LaHood? In the cabinet? That decision still baffles me. Hillary Clinton, meanwhile, is about as liberal as Richard Nixon.
So, if there happens to be a few actual leftists in there too.....good.

That being said, I think the people who think the September 11th attacks were the result of a government conspiracy are completely and totally wrong.

And should not be holding semi-important govt positions

You forgot to preface with the fact that you are also an avid communist and feel that Karl Marx got a raw deal.

Ray LaHood is a IL hood with mob ties, easy to understand why he was named.

I consider myself more a passive quasi-socialist than an "avid communist."
In fact, other than Mizzou sports, I'm not "avid" about much of anything.

Exactly.
No, I really thought it might be a long day (and perhaps season) for Mizzou given how much they lost from last year. They sure looked good yesterday though, and Gabbert looked especially strong.
Although, it being the first game of the season, it is difficult to tell if the Tigers are actually pretty good or if the Illini are just another collection of Zook underachievers.
