$29 was pretty generous for Duke of Mischief.

The pick 4 willpays were bullsh1t though. $579 for the entry? Parlay was over $1k.

Like most tracks with small betting pools, Prairie Meadows has some quirky payouts for exotics. The quinella for the Iowa Derby paid $231; the exacta only paid $14 more. The exacta pool was $37k; the quinella pool was $2k.

I caught the tri in the race ,thought it was short(but was happy to cash after dry spell).I saw super payoff first, thought I really had something.I did not see pool.Does anyone know how terrian came out of it, did not look good.

It was light as well.

Terrain has been euthanized, unfortunately.

Jonesboro was lucky to (barely) miss all that trouble caused by Stonehouse going into the first turn. A nice win by a well-managed horse.

That is a shame.

Agree on a general basis- however in this instance there was $21k in the pick 4 pool which is more than enough to diversify the payoffs properly. Perhaps I was overestimating the qualitative value of beating Hooh Why plus getting the 15-1 shot in the Iowa Derby, but quantitatively it was quite short.

I agree with you. You should have felt robbed if the entry would have won the last race and the parlay pays 2x the Pick 4.

I'm picking Secret Getaway in the Cornhusker. If Kent rides a smart race he will take back and let Stonehouse and Jonesboro take care of Shadowbdancing on the front end.
