I personally like Jeb Bush but I don't think he would have much of a chance in 2012. As unpopular as GW Bush is right now, I don't think anyone with the last name of Bush is going to be elected any time soon.

With regard to Condi Rice, I don't know why anyone would vote for her. She didn't seem to be very effective as SoS. I know that she is extremely bright, but just because someone is "book smart" that doesn't mean that they will necessarily do a good job in the real world. You see this type of thing all the time. There are economics professors that are brilliant about the economy in theory, but if you asked them to invest your money for you, they wouldn't have a clue.

That may be so in some cases, but there is a harvard professor doing a hell of a job running Harrah's casinos...with no prior experience to boot.

and they'll be working in Sun City Africa or Singapore as soon as bonuses get capped. New line 'Ask not what your country can do but what it can limit and take from you"

The bonus thing is just stupid. A majority of the general public has no idea how the whole bonus thing works. All companies will do is increase salaries.

yep. and that will be a repetitive theme. I wonder what the gse's are going to do? They are under conservatorship but you have to think that there is a time limit as far as how long they can keep all of that talent there making pennies.

IMO they'll become self employed advisors and will be available to several companies at the same time. Then the SEC will have a world of problems investigating inside trading especially 'naked shorts' which was a contibution to this cesspool we're in and yes the Bush admnistration is guilty as well. When your able to sell short based on hope and no assets well then it's just hope ain't it? Right side or wrong?
