$154,024.07 in $CDN is the amount in the pool for today's PK 6 at WO, not including what will be wagered today.

I believe on Sundays they will add $150,000 $CDN to whatever exists as a carryover.

After further review.......

the Sunday Pick 6 is seperate from the regular pick 6. A Saturday carry goes to Wednesday...The Sunday pool starts with the $150 added

A good incentive to play the pick 6 today, normally I don't go deeper than the pick 4's but this would seem to be the best bang for the buck play. Woodbine Entertainment must have money coming out of their arses to offer this.

Thanks for the clairification.

If you assume a 22.5% blended takeout, they need to make ~$666,000 in additional handle to pay for this, or $111,000 per race in the sequence throughout the day pre-tax etc.

For a track like Woodbine, which handled $2.1 million last Sunday, this is a lot of money. Especially for a Sunday, which is not as big of a simulcast volume day as many might think.

Unless I'm missing something, this is a very bold marketing experiment. I hope it works for them.

Signed deal with TVG, this should bring more players into the pools.

I'm headed up to Toronto in August, planning on following WO going forward and make a few on track appearances while I'm up there. Anyone care to comment on the quality of racing there? Does their stock have a US track equivalent?

I'd say it's most like Arlington - maybe a little lower quality, but full fields and good turf racing.
