![]() well, my picks so far are
point ashley--was lucky enough to see her break her maiden, which kev and i drooled over. said than she was one to watch, her del mar debutante only re-inforced my faith! pine island--by arch, but more importantly, out of the full sister to pleasant home, winner of the '05 distaff. hopefully she stays in training--dinny has enough broodmares! lol circular quay--after seeing horses such as point given, macho uno, and afleet alex to name a few, we all know that not ALL two year old stars fade out at three. his bashford was good, his hopeful was outstanding! showing up. dual surface runner. look out! aragorn--will repeat as bc mile winner next year! ![]()

![]() What about Invasor again? Looked good in the Donn. Not one mention of him on this thread. Has something happened to him, or is he still training up to Dubai to go against DC? But he is my pick.

![]() well,
without question, if Discreet Cat runs next year, nobody is going to beat him. its just plain stupid how fast he is. I watch him, and I think Ghostzapper. but if we are talking about a non obvious horse, I really like Vacare. Im partial to turf racing so I thats my "star of 2007". I dont see any holes in her game. as for others: I like Latent Heat Circular Quay DMoon OOnagh Maccool Melhor Ainda Point Ashley(love the name) Songster Bright One and plenty more Repent |

![]() They seem to be playing the long game with Discreet Cat, and I imagine next year he will be better still. If kept in training his stablemate, Iffraaj may well prove nigh on unbeatable over 7f, and top class at 6f & 1m (I fancy he will be better than Librettist over the latter trip).
Sander Camillo, visually, was about as impressive as a juvenile can be at Newmarket last time, and whilst the time figure was poor I back her to be a pretty special 3yo. But (for jumping fans only) THE star of 2007 will be Taranis, Paul Nicholls' up and coming ex-French chaser. Have also backed Wellbeing for the Champion Hurdle at a price. |

his last one sucked. so did the previous one for that matter. Im hoping he is just a horse that is not all that good at Saratoga. b/c his wins in MD and the one at Belmont were awesome(imo). sucks about Melhor Ainda. thought she was as good as Heat Haze and most of the other really good Frankel turf runners over the past few years. ![]() for as much as a female turfer can be a "star" -- it's going to be Vacare. I just don't see very many horses being able to run with her, especially with the added maturity to next year.
going along with that -- I think that Mauralakana will be heard from in big ways next year as well. |
