I don't know.

Zenyatta sure did show Brownie Points who was boss in the Apple Blossom - and I certainly think she would have been beaten by that terrible Miss Isella horse who Borel got to beat a loose on the lead One Caroline with going 8.5f on a wet track.

I certainly like Rachel Alexandra a lot more of the two horses ... but I don't think she'll have a prayer on the Pro-Ride with Asmussen training her ... I'm playing her to finish off the board in that race.

I hope she dominates up to that point.

This is some of the most ridiculous stuff ever posted. Not only is the focus of the thread a race a mere 6 months away, but we also get insightful tidbits such as indisputable evidence of Zenyatta's horrible dirt form (she defeated subsequent multiple graded stakes winner Brownie Points by open lengths) and definitive proof that Rachel Alexandra can't handle synthetic surfaces (future trainer Steve Asmussen wins races less frequently on synthetics than regular dirt).

At least the avatar displays a true voice of reason.

A big time understatment.

I like how were supposed to assume that Rachel Alexandra will run her race in the Breeders Cup even though the track is the most closer friendly in the country - and even though Asmussen is downright brutal with synthetic horses.

Asmussen still hasn't even won a route race on KEE's syntethic track and it's been around since 2006.

He got his first 31 post time favorites beat on PID's syntethic track. Pyro was a claimer over syntethic tracks and Curlin couldn't even beat Tiag-slow

not sure what zenyattas dirt form has to do with the distaff. i'd rather see the two meet on dirt, since both have shown they can handle it. that way, no excuses.
rachel may well handle syns, but i'd rather it be effort and talent vs the same, on neutral ground.

The whole thing was sort of a play on my RA was a cinch to win the KY Oaks thread - 3 months before the race.

Zenyatta's Apple Blossom win was mediocre.

I love how you call Brownie Points a subsquent Graded Stakes winner ... she won a Grade 3 turf stake at Lone Star Park next time out.

In her next dirt race after the Apple Blossom she ran a mediocre 5th with a 79 Beyer. Her 3 prior dirt Beyer before the Apple Blossom were 89, 80, and 86.

She stinks ... and if you trust Zenyatta's absurd 104 Beyer in the Apple Blossom ... I guess you also have to trust Tiag-slow's 110 in a nose victory that day ... a number that no rational person can believe he is capable of runnning.

Yep. Brownie Points sure is no Stone Legacy.

Kudos on calling Rachel Alexandra the KY Oaks winner way back in February. She was only odds on in her two subsequent starts.

Oh, and Tiago is no Giacomo.

It was a call that deserves no kudos ... just as calling Zenyatta the Distaff winner now deserves no kudos... and is only me just throwing something out there in case something goes wrong to give someone something to use against me at a later date.

Although - most people did believe that Stardom Bound was the most likely Oaks winner at the time - and even several weeks later - Justwhistledixie closed as the pool 3 favorite over Rachel Alexandra... but whatever.

No one thought SB was going to win the Oaks once she ran her first race this year, unless "most" means racing people with a clue using your nomenclature.

I hope she wins the preakness, belmont, test, travers, JCGC, the Carter and I hope Assman skips any breeders cup race because its on synthetics... sporting move last year to run curlin, but take THAT breeders cup and your stupid decision to run the championship races all on turf.

I also hope Quality Road, Dunkirk, IWR (if hes back), Fresian Fire.. and all the other top dirt horses skip the race and say shove it.

Lets have the championships settled at JCGC day at belmont...
