One for Derek and Deb........I don't know if either of you two saw this but I was watching post game of # two and Alex was asked about how his goalie was playing and he seemed to get a touch annoyed deflecting the question like he was pissed at his rookie net minder....

I thought the kid had played well other than a soft goal in the first game which Alex had no problem discussing. Is there something going on between the savior and the new kid?

i saw that. he doesn't want to talk about varly at all-he's afraid to jinx him, no joke. the coach isn't talking to the goalie either. they don't want to mess with a good thing. from what little they've said, varlamov hasnt' really understood that he ought to be feeling pressure! his english is not good at all, i told my son maybe they haven't even let him know it's the playoffs.
alex is still a bit rough with his english-his i don't want to talk about it was pretty much what he said to another interviewer who asked him about his late brother.
