The guy sitting next to me had $30 on Mind that Bird to win and his wife was pi$$ed. She had told him to bet $50 on the 8 across the board. She bet every thing Borel rode.

I had POTN WPS and an exacta all/POTN....no, I don't bet that way often, but I've learned my lesson with this race.

I won and my son won.

I won because I had good size bets on "All Others" from Future Wager Pools 1 & 2. (Too bad I didn't take "All Others" in Pool 3 at 17-1!)

My son won because pre-race I remarked that Mine That Bird shouldn't even be in the race. I said I had him at 100-1 in my line, and since my son seemed interested in the horse, I said I'd give him 100-1. So he won $100.
