They needed pitching and still do. That's what will make a difference with this team. Tex was another big bat, who coincidentally got off to a slow start last year also.

i never said i knew any of the stienbrenners personally , my comments were based on how geroge reacted in the past on certain high priced free agents - there would have been a story / a challenge to TEX already in the daily news by now , any yankee fan knows that and knows the reason why there hasn't been
