Yes, but his dirt form is far superior to his synthetic form when you consider his starts since October. And are there any real good older horses running out East on the dirt that he can't beat?

Remember, Commentator ended his campaign last year with a no excuse, poor race in the Clark.

He is a good horse who can be great on his day but given the fact that he runs infrequently and rarely in big spots, he shouldn't keep WinStar from sending Well Armed east.

This was a big race from Well Armed, but let's be realistic. He was dead lone speed on a track favoring the front. That's the exact recipe for a romp. Not to mention the count of other quality handicap horses in the race was fairly low, but regardless, not very many good horses would be able to run down a horse taking advantage of that scenario.

It's not like he's going from the frying pan to the fire by coming back home. Unfortunately, the plague that has beset the handicap division knows no continental boundaries.

It was a fairly shocking result that he won a 6 million dollar
race like it was some mdnspwt. with the winner at 1:9.
Everything was set up, but for gosh sakes...
Its not like the other horses should stop
running because the purse money for 2nd on down
was not worth a fight.

Which begs the question wonder how he would have fared on that highway Saturday?
