Its too bad West Virginia and Marquette sh!t the bed in the tourney. Marquette had an excuse with the injury but without it and West Virginia taking a dump on the court against Dayton there would be a realistic shot of an Elite 8 of the Big East and North Carolina.

Was Pitt laying 4 and a hook tonight?

Those backdoor covers drive bettors on the losing end, up a wall. A less harsher version of Sniper's ND St. travesty.

As for the Duke/Nova game. I don't think I can recall such a poor effort offensively for Duke. That was a joke. Another joke was Scottie Reynolds and his clock management towards the end. If I was Wright and that game was a tad closer, I'd have yanked him and have him $hitting my shoelaces tomorrow.

I got Xavier +6 1/2. With all the FT's in the final minute, I thought Pitt might get the cheap cover. Not complaining, I talked myself out of playing the money line. Damn, Xavier only manages 18 points in the second half.

I'm all over Gonzaga tomorrow. I know they've disappointed thus far, but 8 1/2 is lunacy IMO..

He will recruit one and done guys but prefers not too. If a guy shows in one season that he's ready to go, he'll counsel them to go.

Has any player's stock fallen more from the time they enrolled to the time they finished than Greg Paulus?

They need two things. They need a post presence. Doesn't have to be a great player but someone that can at least make the defense pretend to respect their inside game. Several times tonight, I saw them have all five guys at least 15 feet from the basket and four of them outside the three-point line. They also need a point guard that can take his man off the dribble and create. At this level, they have to work entirely too hard to get shots because all of the defenders are out there staying home on their men because they have nobody that commands even the occassional double team down low and nobody that can beat his man and make the defense scramble and get out of position.

I'm extremely disappointed because as much as I love Duke, even when they rose to #1, I knew this team was overrated and would have a hard time making it past the Sweet 16.

If Mizzou can make a couple upsets happen and win their next two games... and if cuse takes care of business tonight... I could be real close on the ESPN bracket... ranked 99.02%.

knock on wood.
