As much as I'd love to spend a day at Saratoga, that's really in my fantasies. In reality, it would probably disappoint me since I don't like huge crowds (plus, I've heard that it's almost impossible to find a place to sit). A day at Belmont is like a day at the ballpark - heavenly. I haven't gone in awhile, though. I'm going to make a point to go quite a bit during the Fall Championship meet, and definitely Gold Cup day. |

![]() Belmont is also my favorite racetrack, and I grew up around Keeneland.
Toga is very cool, but a real pain in the ass for travelers. I would rather stay in Manhattan Better hotels, + the entertainmrent shopping and food are beyond compare. Airports are much more convenient and you can't beat the LIRR deal. Keeneland still offers the best racing and a mellow atmosphere, with great food considering. Outside of Belmont,Keeneland,CD and Royal Ascot, I don't care if I never see another racetracck. JMO |
