I'm still trying to get a handle at Tampa. I dope out a pick 4 to compare and discuss with the usual Tampa crew. Looks like a tough sequance with the 8th looking like it's wide open and then the 9th coming of the green.

$1 1,4,8/4,7/6,8/6,9,10 $36
$1 8,/4,6,7/1,6/10 $6

I almost put these in for real, but I thought better of it. Still trying to get a grip of the Tampa VORTEX as Bigs likes to call it.

I'm pretty pissed at myself. I chickened out of using Dehn's horse in a Pick 3 starting in the 6th (can't spare the $10!) and now I'd be looking at payouts ranging from $375-$2,875. For what it's worth, I had the 6th-7th double, but if the 11 wins this 8th race, I'm gonna be sick.

EDIT: Not suicidal now that the 4 won, but I still managed to finagle myself out of a $424 winner for $1.

Nice double Joey! What were you looking to do use the all button in the 8th? I just took quick look at the 6th and even knowing the 5 won, I still don't think I would/could have played him.

My ticket looked like this:

7,9 / 1,8 / 4,5,6,9,11

I decided at the last second not to include the 5, but played a 5 / 1,8 double just in case. Made a few bucks, but it was dwarfed by what the Pick 3 paid.

The 5 had a few competitive races and had been working like a metronome since December. Figured he was well meant. I think the 9 was actually best, but Michelle outrode the 9's jockey
