He is so good at getting run away speed to sit 2nd or 3rd, and explode on command. Most others can not come close to matching him in doing that. Sometimes Bejarano can do it, but Gomez does it likes it's nothing.

Before his injuries, Nakatani was like that also. He could get horses to relax and he was an incredible finisher down the stretch. Certainly I've never ridden a horse other than for recreation, but clearly there is a fine line when it comes to riding on the track.
