One of the financial shows was saying that plenty of fund managers did do their basic due diligence, and based upon that passed this cheat by. Some say the signs were there.

I read today that one guy notified the SEC about Madoff in 2005.....Maybe the SEC should pay back the 50Bil since it was done with their knowledge!!
