More focus on the '80s would be a tad more palatable - his delivery is absolutely overbearing and insufferable. I like when he tries to debate himself about things that happened 60 years ago. It's ridiculous. I would never know, and I seriously doubt anyone can watch those old, grainy, re-reproduced a dozen times replays and actually make heads or tails out of any of it, much less hold an unflappable position.
Maybe if he was presented as more of a upbeat, nostalgic personality instead of a condescending know-it-all he'd be more accepted.

That said, I'd pay big bucks to watch a John Nerud / Bob Fox debate - Especially when Fox tries to make the case that Dr. Fager was better than Secertariat. That would be good times.
