I admit, my main issue with Redboard was just that try as I might, it didn't remind me of the racing term, it just sounded like a word that started with Red that I phonetically wasn't as enamored by. There was a grass horse a few years back that ran the CRC-Tampa circuit named Redboard Phil (pretty sure he was trained by Kathleen O'Connell). I loved that horse because of the name. I always imagined some dude named Phil embarrassed as hell everytime he heard Saltsman or Grunder call his name during a race.
