It happens a bit, I recieved this earlier this year:
Equibase: This notice is to inform you that one or more of your horses has worked out. Shake You Down Date: September 24, 2008 Track: HAWTHORNE Distance: Four Furlongs Time: 49:80 Breezing Track Condition: Fast Surface: Dirt Rank: 13/47 I emailed the track and they replied, said the clocker apparently "scrolled down too far" and that it was a workout by Shakey.
