I give Bush credit for grace under unknown threat, but his Secret Service protection was appallingly caught off-guard - the guy had time to reload the second shoe.

The guy was with a television station, news said well-known local TV correspondent?

It's that biased, conservative, wing-tip media !

after gulf war 1 baghdad airport had a mosaic of bush, sr. in the terminal so international travelers had to walk across his face entering the country.

i'm dating someone that lived in beirut until she was 23. she thinks the shoe thing is a peasant insult and was surprised an allegedly educated reporter lowered himself. it's like a white house reporter dropping trou.

but he'll probably be a hero to a big part of his audience. arabs have their version of rednecks and this will be a big hit with them.
