I think the BCS games are good.

Thinking about it I would have rather seen the following:

Texas v. Alabama
Oklahoma v. Florida (no change)
USC v. Texas Tech
Utah v. Penn. St.

rest dont care.

And yes I realize it we would not be allowed to see 3 Big 12 teams.

They have a contract with Espn through 2013 and ABC does 2014. I think a playoff could be worked out in conjunction with BCS but it will take some tinkering.

Im not holding my breathe.

probably longer. college ball has never been so popular. unless they saw a serious drop off in fan interest, i doubt they change.

I would love to see Texas vs Alabama also (Bama would crush em')

USC would kill tech also...

The Big 12 would finally have to play teams with a......... DEFENSE!!

Tech & USC would be a blowout... much better with USC and Penn State.

They need to place the Big 12 teams against schools with no D so they can look good..

Default Poor matchups

THe odds say it all. Just too many double digit favorites.

BUT

Taking the big underdog in the big bowls has often been profitable because the favs get overconfident. There will be upsets.

I'm a Trojan fan and I see a real danger in one too many trips to Pasadena for USC and possibly not being as razor sharp for this edition of the Rose Bowl as they should be.

I'm not a Trojan fan, but based on what they did to Ohio State and what PSU didn't do to OSU, I don't know how you can't lay the 10.

Default hopefully an unfounded fear....

Pete Carroll has been a fantastic coach. His squad is always ready to play. The evidence of that is that after year one I don't think his team has ever lost by more than a TD.

My concern is that usually in the past the Trojans knew a win in their bowl would give them some sort of claim as #1. This year there is no way that can happen. I see them defeating the Nittany Lions but it could be a closer game than I would hope, simply because Penn St. will play their best game and USC might not.

Joe Pa is an excellent at getting his teams ready for bowls.

don't forget that usc is losing their OC and that offense has struggled at times. this can't help.

I'm thinking that line floats upwards though come kickoff. Could see it from 13-15 IMO, but what do I know?

It's always a mistake to compare games like that. Look at what Texas Tech did to Texas and what Texas did to Oklahoma...how'd that work out for T Tech against Oklahoma?? Remember, OSU's best player did not play a snap at USC (Beanie Wells) and it was Pryor's first game playing major minutes and they had the brilliant idea of alternating plays every play with Pryor and Boeckman. OSU was a much better team when they played PSU. I don't put a whole lot of stock into USC beating OSU worse than PSU did, nor put much stock into PSU beating Oregon State much worse than USC did...actually USC didn't even beat Oregon State did they!!! So based on the OSU game, USC is 25 points better than PSU and based on the Oregon State game PSU is 37 points better than USC.

It's a waste of time to compare scores of common opponents when one plays at home and one on the road and certain players play or don't play etc...it's meaningless.

I think the line is probably about right and there would be sense in picking either team.

Well, not long now till the nation's premier college football team is back in action.

Looking forward to another comfortable bowl victory over a very fine, albeit overmatched, PSU Nittany Lions squad...

No way Beanie not playing mattered.
Ohio St. was crushed. Beanie would have been stuffed
just like their other running backs. The game was a blowout.

And making a 3 way comparison is not valid except your assessment of the Texas, TT, Oklahoma games are way off. If anyone really believes TT is a better team than Texas, the head needs to be examined. Texas played their worst game of the season and lost because a freshman DB dropped a lob interception. TT scored on the last play of the game to win at home. They dont win big games away in the Big 12. Oklahoma and Texas played a close game that got away at the end. TT is just not that good.
