It has to be better than the Jersey circuit. Racing during the week at Monmouth is awful. Mostly cheap claimers with short fields. The turf races are good, unless they come off for weather. Not many MTO entries. Nothing gets the blood pumping like those 4 horse fields in the slop. It doesn't get any better when they go north to the Swamp. Then you have the Graded Stakes races which Chuchill had (I think) 26 in the Spring vs 13 for the Monmouth meet. I am not saying that Churchill is the greatest meet in the world, but it is definitley above the Monmouth/Meadowlands circuit. Not to mention that you get to call (argueably) the biggest race of the year (I know, not on the national telecast, blah blah blah).
