Isolated incidents like this occur in any conflict...they aren't right, an affront to decency and, as you say, stupid...but they happen! Might you not have pointed out to him ... not that it would do any good ... that Israel HAS a Supreme Court ... which can issue orders that other Israelis obey ... out of respect for the Rule Of Law ... something dramatically absent in Arab "cultures"?

Good point in both ways....Israel is a democracy, something the Jew haters on this board like to ignore and of course that point would have done no good whatsoever! This game is lame and boring...pick out any mistake, large or small and blow it up into an indictment of Israel...oh my god, those Jews did that!? How terrible!! Meanwhile the terrorist animals are lopping off the heads of innocent civilians...I guess you don't need a court system once you remove someone's head!

Anytime anyone takes an opinion not in line with pro-Israeli positions, you label them Jew Haters and lovers of terrorists? That's laughable and lamentable. I'm anything but either of those. I do however, see the world in all of it's dimensions and I am admittedly not the hugest fan of the incumbent Israeli leaders. That's it. Nothing more. Nothing less. You can go on ahead now and continue labeling anyone who disagrees with how you see the world as a Jew Hater. That, some people would say, is bigotry at its worst, but at least it is the easy way out.

I have never said anything about "Terrorists Good." Never.

Yes, they do do worse, but that doesn't make what Israel did in this case right, nor does it justify any of the illegal things the US has done in this "war on terror." (though how one wages war on terrorism, which is not a country, but a tactic, is beyond me) We're the US of A; we're supposed to be better than the people we're fighting. And if Israel's government wants to be able to claim the moral high ground, then they'd better be walking on it.

If we really think our system of democracy is valuable and worth exporting, then we need to prove it through our actions. Holding people illegally does not help our argument.

Ask yourself this ... what do you actually know about this case? What real, solid information ... from reliable sources ... do you have? You don't really know exactly what happened and/or why Israel did what they did ... do you?

Be a little more skeptical and perspicacious ... there are lots of not-nice folks out there trying to manipulate you ... and you're making it a bit too easy for them.

I agree the Jew Hater or Minority hater crap is ridiculous. Anytime somebody disagrees it means they hate Jews or Blacks or Hispanics. You can like Jewish people and not like the Israeli government. Last i checked there were plenty of Israelis that don't like their government policy. That doesn't make them Jew Haters.
