Taxation will be one of the oppressions visited on the public, as well as comprehensive policies to limit our freedoms.....free speech, restrictive gun laws etc etc.
I am far from brilliant...but I don't drink the Kool-aid

the only party i've seen recently who tried to limit any civil rights would be the reps with their patriot act-reminds me of the alien and sedition act from john adams' day.
as for restrictive gun laws, anything unconstitutional apparently will be thrown out, based on d.c.'s now non-existent handgun ban which was tossed by the supreme court.

like dala said, the patriot act has nothing to do with taxation. i take each issue on its own merits, and the patriot act is a piece of horrible legislation.

and btw, here's a shocker...i don't want a tax break, i want a balanced budget with paygo, and an effort made to pay down our deficit. i certainly don't want a tax increase, and i sure don't want increased spending.

also...i know obama has some sort of plan for taxes, etc. but since neither he, nor mccain, actually will write one piece of legislation, i guess i'll just continue to be at the mercy of congress and not worry about what the president will do, as all he can do is ask.
