LOL. thats not what i meant. Ive been to that ballpark. It is an abomination. It is an affront to all the things that are great about the game.

The city paid big bucks to build that stadium in the first place and it sat for a long time and I doubt they would shell out again no matter how good the team is.

No stadium, no money.

Hasn't stopped them from filling the place tonight. When they start getting at least 75% capacity every night then they can start their whining. They may be World Series champs this year with a 52.8% stadium capacity. People want a good team, not a bunch of empty luxury boxes (which they will be with the recession).

What are you talking about snipe? Im not arguing with you. My point is that they will never have the money to go get players or even sign their own without stadium dollars.

My point is if they can keep a young nucleus together that can compete for the next five years then they might average more than 22,000 a night and would be in a much better position to get a new ballpark. New ballpark or not they are never going to be better than 10-15 range in payroll, that's still a hell of an improvement over where they are now though.

F*ck Upton. I kept that prick in my keeper league after the '03, '04, and '05 seasons. Then I give up on him after the '06 season and he busts out.

Garza n' Price stepped up to put the REDSOX NATION asleep. They kept saying Madden didn't have anyone to shut them down late. He found a guy. That's what it takes to move on(no fear, and a very live arm.)

They already have the new ballpark planned, just waiting on govt funds.

The Rays are the design of very good scouting and drafting. They have a window where almost every player of importance should improve and virtually everyone is signed. They really badly need a closer and maybe Edwin Jackson can fill that role because there is no way they will pay for Krod and there isnt much else out there at least in FA's. I believe Crawford is signed through next year but they only have Floyd and Baldelli as FA's this year. The rotation is solid with Shields, Garza, Kazmir, Price and Sonnastine. Upton and Longoria will get better. Scary team.

Isnt that the devil in the details? Tampa was yet another part of Florida that was hit by the condo speculators. I cant imagine they will have the money for a new park for years. Who knows though. Plus the plan is elaborate.

The funny thing is that the park they currently play gives them a nice home field advantage
