it did appear that she was hustled a bit out of the gate...and then taken in midpack to the rail

hafta admit was kinda impressed with that hustle lol, but nope if she don't like where she's at [down on the rail tonite] forget about it, horse definitely has her preferences - hope she comes back well and enjoys the R&R ... as always, thanks to the barn crew for their efforts !

I really don't have an issue with the ride. I know she does better if she gets to settle but the winner moved early and the place horse basically ran 2nd most of the race.

She's run better for more money

it is disappointing

maybe she needed that Adjunctive

Hard to figure. Looked like he had horse going into the final turn and even turning for home but was flat in the stretch. Typical cheap filly race. Can run it 10 times and get 10 different winners. TC said she acted up in the paddock and was really hyped up which didnt help.

She was calm the race before but I thought Rene didn't let her do her thing. Up against it in that one

and tonight....

She had that wall of big ass horses in front of her and didn't feel like it.
Could she be protecting herself?

she has run better against better.

ok, turning the page

T.C. is lucky to be alive tonite. She reared up on her hind legs in the saddling stall and nearly killed him. Very difficult to saddle. Definitely agree she didn't like being covered up on the rail in the 2nd turn. She was tucked in behind the leaders but didn't fire. Seemed to be fine after the race. Met three partners for the first time. A fun nite overall. Thanks to Chuck and Steve for the home town start.

would hate to see her saddled at hawthorne for instance. that could get real ugly in thier setup and dangerous for all

TC was luck he didn't get hurt bad tonight. KNS made him work hard just to saddle up.
once she was saddled she was fine, blinkers even went on easy.
steve scenario is probably best. she doesn't to like being in traffic on the rail.

I had the same reaction out of the gate, was wondering why she was going, coverup on the rail has not been her strength.

Brian Hernandez and Otto Thorwarth are battling it out for leading rider so I figured the weight off would help since all the other riders aren't exactly drafting speeches for the Hall of Fame. I was wrong and we didnt even get the weight.

At KEE today I turned to the guy next to me and asked, "Who the hell is Otto Thorwarth?" He had no idea, either.

The debate won out over Turfway at 10:00 on a Thursday night. Watched at home, though, hope she enjoys her vacation, well-deserved.

Otto is a jock that rides at tracks like Turfway, Thistle and maybe Beaulah.
A jock wins a race for you at 35-1 you tend to remember.

search results:

Jockey Thorwarth scores 1,000th victory

Jockey Otto Thorwarth earned his 1,000th career victory on Saturday when he guided Simon Peter to a 4 1/4-length victory in the fourth race at Beulah Park.

The Mercer Mill colt stalked the pace from four wide, rallied on the far turn, and dueled with Fine Prince for the lead. Simon Peter surged clear in the stretch en route to the milestone victory.

Thorwarth began riding professionally in 1992 and earned his first stakes victory a year later with Front Line Only in the Rainbow Miss Stakes at Oaklawn Park.

Through March 31, Thorwarth was the second leading jockey by wins at Beulah Park with 47 victories from 280 mounts that earned $241,801.
