They dont? Of the top 25 sires of 2 year olds, zero stand for 100k or more. Outside of Unbridled Song and Forestry there are really no sires known for early runners standing for 100k or more.

OK but Kingmambo and Awesome Again are the only six figure sires with less 2yo earnings than Smarty Jones and Kingmambo has 16 2yos.

The one thing that people forget when dealing with first year stallions with a high fee is the mares they get are generally good ones who produce or were stakes winners going long. The cheaper stallions get the cheap speed mares that are more apt to run early not to mention that trainers take their time with more expensive horses as opposed to the cheaper ones. You cant truly sires abilities until they have at least three crops running unless they are extraordinary or awful.
