This will be the LAST game of the year that the Eagles will be getting points in the spread. Tonight, on the national stage, the Eagles defense will rise to the occasion and limit TO and the Boys to a few big plays. The line starting at 7, dropping down to 6 and a hook (which could drop to 6 in some outlets), should be a flashing sign that taking the points and running is the smart play here. For division rivals to give a GOOD team, a team that plays better on the road, 6-7 points is outlandish. Lock and load on the Eagles, healthy wideouts or not. Take the 6 and a hook and never look back.

Every year my buddy who's a Giants fan and I make a few prop bets between us. What better year for me to pull the wool over his eyes than this one. He is 40 years old, and weighs at least 10 lbs per year of life. Nik Nik (real name Steve but he calls everyone Nick, so we spun it on him once and it stuck) knows absolutely nothing about life in general and even less about football. He's only a fan because his younger brother is a Gmen fan. Last year he couldnt name 8 Giants without the help of Troy Aikman and Joe Buck. I FORGOT more about sports than he would ever know in 10 lifetimes. This year, he's riding high and brimming with confidence, rightfully so. Perfect time to strike, esp. with the off year that the Birds had last year.

Heres a list of the prop bets (all $25 bets at 10-1 odds):

My bets: Stewart Bradley makes the Pro Bowl
Eagles win the NFC
Mcnabb stays healthy throughout the regular season
Buffalo Bills make playoffs

HIs bets: Eli makes the Pro Bowl and Giants win the NFC. I have to give him additional $500 if they win it all. (No problem)...

Tonight, Stewart Bradley becomes a household name, IMO. People get to witness how fast the Birds defense really is. Here's me, chomping at the bit.....Dylbert, oh Dylbert...I know you'll come out of the woodwork to serve me crow if this game doesnt go the way I have it in my head.

I swear I think you and Scavs are related.

We're both full of passion when it comes to the gridiron.

Big week for you in fantasy, I see. I am trying to unload a RB to whoever has Grant/Maroney... I need more options at wideout.

Yeah...big day yesterday. Could have been even better as I had Santana Moss on the bench and he outscored the 3 WR's I had starting yesterday COMBINED

I was hoping the Baltimore game would have gone tonight. Their defense is great to watch.

The entertainment value of watching any two NFC teams play - even the hyped ones - is zero.

Not even the one that hit your asterisked Pats in the chin last year in the Bowl? They went from hype to the pipe. Randy Moss's cush-cush pipe. At least that's what Nicky 'the rat' Kazcur told the Feds.

asterisked for what?

You mean people still think they really needed an edge to beat the Jets in week 1 of last year?

You could take Tom Brady away, add Brett Favre to the Jets, and supposedly have Moss shut down ... and the Jets still would have lost handily I bet.

I was only ribbing ya, as I know that the asterisk stuff is bs. I just dislike Belichick. The Pats still rule the AFC until shown otherwise, its just that the gap isn't as wide now.

I am eager to see though, how Randy will act when he continually torches the secondary and gets underthrown.

good one drugs. As much as I hate Tony Romo, both him and McNabb are more entertaining then your Brady-less Pats. (now with Brady thats a dif story)

Yeah...I sat him at the last minute. Just didn't have alot of faith in Campbell and the new west coast offense. Moss ended up with 46 fantasy points.

You need to quit being such a homer. You should have known that Warner was gonna pick apart the Fins yesterday. There is 44 points sitting on your bench
