If Infallible runs in the Lennox on Tuesday, she is a certainty

Nice horse but if i were playing (and not being sentimental cause am rooting for Al Qasi), I'd go with Dunelight. Nice odds. Looks like a winner to me anyway...

Dunelight loves Goodwood, but if he can give weight to a Gr1 filly over what would seem to be her best trip then I would be very shocked. She has run brilliantly in two Gr1's over a trip that stretches her.

On form there is nothing to suggest Dunelight can get within three or four lengths of her. If this was a handicap, she'd be carrying 4lbs more than Dunelight, but because of the conditions of this race, she is actually recieving 10lbs from him....... so she is 14lbs well in with Dunelight, that's a stone!!!!!!!

Analysis: Infallible was a warm order here, bringing placed Classic form to the table and the drop in trip expected to suit. It didn't, as she failed to quicken off the fast pace set by Dunelight, unlike the winner PACO BOY and runner-up Stimulation. Richard Hannon's charge hadn't been seen since he was seventh in the French 2000 Guineas, but connections were bullish beforehand and their confidence proved to be justified. Richard Hughes settled his mount prominently, just on the heels of Dunelight, and he went to the front a furlong out always holding Stimulation who trod a similar path. A step up back to a mile should hold no fears for the winner or the runner-up. This was another good effort from Dunelight who remains in good form following a winning effort at Windsor last time. Il Warrd was tapped for toe at a crucial stage but finished his race quite well.
